Rita is a multi prize winning volkswagon camper who was refurbished in the United States over 13 years ago. In 2010 she has won no less than 10 trophies at Volkswagon shows and classic car events, ranging from best in show to best interior.

 

 

 

We have researched a little of Rita's History but only as far back as the late 90's.

Pete an eye surgeon from South Florida had Rita restored by Bruce at West Mcnabb Foreign Cars who worked with Jeffery Phipps Interiors to complete her restoration in 1998.

Pete then sold Rita to a New York Stockbroker called Joe who had a collection of several Volkswagon beetles and Split Screen Campers.

Joe put his whole VW collection up for sale in 2003 and this is when Rita came into the United Kingdom. Kept garaged in Brighton by 2 subsequent owners eventually Rita made the trip to Derbyshire in May 2009 since when she has had many adventures around the country.

Late in 2009 we gave her a small makeover to convert her interior into a camper with a modern twist and this is how she is today. The bench seat converts into a bed the bulk head cabinet is polished high gloss red and incorporates a fitted Champagne bucket and wine rack ideal for your special day not to mention loads of storage for camping trips.
